The original Maru, and still the one with the line down Hillhurst. The room is off-white walls and pale birch, calm enough to think in. The cream top is the calling card — cold brew or an iced latte under a float of sweet cream — and the matcha latte is one of the best in the city.
Counter orderOrder at the counter. Seating is limited inside and out, so plan to take it to go on busy mornings, when the line runs down the block.
